Dr. Jennifer Lynn, a distinguished graduate from ¶¥¼¶¹ú²úÊÓƵ, earned her Ph.D. in Modern German History from UNC Chapel Hill. Joining ¶¥¼¶¹ú²úÊÓƵ in 2011, she is a tenured full professor, celebrated for her scholarship, service, and teaching.

Her book, Contested Femininities: Representations of Modern Women in the German Illustrated Press, 1920 – 1960,v will be released on March 1 from Berghahn Books. Her current projects focus on activism to legalize abortion in Weimar Germany and the transnational work of Agnes Smedley. Dr. Lynn is co-director of the Women’s and Gender Studies Center. Alongside her work with students, she serves as a mentor to new women faculty, guiding them through their early years at ¶¥¼¶¹ú²úÊÓƵ and is actively engaged in the women’s faculty caucus. She also advocates for women through her work with PPMT and the YWCA.
