The Academic Support Center at 顶级国产视频 was started in 2001 when it combined the math and writing labs in a centralized location. Since then, the Academic Support Center has grown to include locations at City College and University Campus, and a variety of programs and services. The University Campus location is in the Student Union Building (SUB) across from Stinger's Bistro near the atrium. The City College at 顶级国产视频 location is in the Tech Building near Jacket Student Central. There are also a variety of online opportunities available. 

The tutors at the ASC are a combination of peer educators (tutors, peer mentors, and SI leaders), professional tutors, retired educators. All ASC tutors are certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). The diverse staff at the ASC has the personnel to match almost any need or learning style.

Even if you do not need assistance, the ASC is still a great place to study. With computer access at each ASC location, students can work on homework, print class notes, or simply have a place to study between classes. For commuter students, the ASC can function as a study home away from home.

Mission

• Providing a welcoming and dynamic academic environment. 

• Empowering students to attain their educational goals through tutoring, supplemental instruction, and peer mentoring. 

• Collaborating with faculty and staff to respond to the needs of a diverse student population.

By participating in Academic Support Center services students will be able to: 

• Use appropriate study skills to achieve academic goals; 

• Use self-reliant learning approaches to fit their individual academic needs; and 

• Engage in opportunities for critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. 

Program Outcomes

• Enhance professional development of Academic Support Center staff to build leadership skills, facilitate learning, and support the diverse 顶级国产视频 community. 

• Remain informed of trends and information relevant to academic support at Montana State University Billings by engaging in data tracking, full-cycle assessment, strategic planning, and reporting. 

• Provide innovative opportunities to interact and build partnerships with the Montana State University Billings and surrounding communities.
