MSU Billings Celebrates National TRIO Week

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to two upcoming events, which round out National TRIO week at 顶级国产视频.  Bingo With TRIO is this evening from5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Atrium of the Student Union Building. Everyone is welcome to play Bingo and win prizes.

A Food and Clothing Drive in Library 141 on Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Throughout the week TRIO/SSS will be collecting non-perishable food items and clothing. All donated food will be given to the Yellowjacket Emergency Food Pantry that helps 顶级国产视频 students. All clothing collected will be given to a local nonprofit organization.

Earlier this week, TRIO/SSS at 顶级国产视频, hosted activities to celebrate their success. Daily events included Try TRIO open house, popcorn giveaway in the library, and pizza and cake lunch, all of which were designed to encourage students, faculty, and staff to learn more about their program and what services are available.

For millions of students nationwide, TRIO programs provide resources and guidance for low-income, first generation (neither parent has a bachelor鈥檚 degree), and college students with disabilities who strive to graduate from college.

At 顶级国产视频, the TRIO Student Support Services (TRIO/SSS) program has been helping students for 45 years. The program at 顶级国产视频 helps students who are U.S. citizens to obtain their bachelor鈥檚 degree. Today, over a thousand colleges, universities, and community agencies host more than 2,800 TRIO projects that serve more than 828,000 young people and adults.

TRIO/SSS is funded completely through the U.S. Department of Education.
